General Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms:

By booking an appointment, visiting our website, or engaging in any way with Sting Studio Tattoo Shop, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services. If you use our services while silmultaneously not agreeing with our Terms and Conditions, you will be held liable for negligence, possibly nefarious abuse of trust of avoiding providing us your legal consent prior to our services.

 

2. Consent

A. Consent Requirements: You must be 18 years and older to legally consent for tattoos. You can get parental or legal guardian to consent if you're 16 or 17 years old. Artist ultimately gets the right to decide if the tattoo subject matter is something they'd like to do.

B. How to Consent:
When booking an appointment with Sting Studio, clients are required to complete a consent form found online on our website. By signing the form, this agreement confirms their consent for approval of tattoo services at our establishment.   

C. Consent for Marketing: By receiving service from Sting Studio, you consent to the use of your design, personal likeness, and final artwork for promotional and portfolio purposes in photo, video, written, and audio format.

 

3. Appointment Bookings (deposits):

A. Deposits: It is crucial to thoroughly discuss your tattoo design, placement, and all relevant details with your chosen artist before booking your appointment. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve time with our artists beyond a same day appointment. All deposits made at Sting Studio are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. The deposit amount will be communicated to you during the booking process by the artist you choose.

B. Deposit Deduction: All deposits count as payment towards the final session of the designated tattoo. This means if a tattoo takes 1 encounter to complete, the deposit is deducted at the end of that encounter. If a tattoo takes 2+ encounter to complete, the deposit is deducted at the end of that tattoo design. No exceptions.

C. Appointment Changes: If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours, or 2 Days in advance. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of your deposit, no exceptions bar a medical emergency with doctor's note. Our artists get paid on comission only, and the deposit forfeiture goes towards paying for their time and preparations.

 

4. Rescheduling/Cancellations:

A. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and clients may need to reschedule/cancel their appointments. Clients are required to contact us at least [48 hours] in advance if they need to reschedule to preserve their deposit. We will make every effort to accommodate requests without the loss of the deposit.

B. In exceptional cases, such as artist unavailability or other unforeseen sudden life threatening/changing issues, Sting Studio may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
In such instances, clients will be rescheduled and they will receive Stinger points equivalent to the deposit amount made.

 

5. Custom Tattoo Process

A. Design Agreement: You agree that any design concept discussed with our artist during consultation and approved by you, the client, is considered final

B. Design Changes: Changes to the design after consultation prior to the tattoo appointment can and will likely result in changes to the final price. In some cases, the artist will request another consultation.

C. Same Day Design Changes: Changes to the design on the day of the appointment may not be accommodated due to time restriction. Should that result in client cancellation or having to reschedule, the deposit will be absorbed and if the artist has already begun to setup their workstation, a setup fee of 50$ tax included will be charged on top.

 

6. Flash Tattoo Process:

A. Design Agreement: The tattoo design you choose will be done as-is. The price on flash designs are sold at a fixed price designated by the artist who created it.
B. Design Changes: Changes to the design will be limited since this is purposely to be done as-is. Making it fit in between tattoos or on certain body parts may require changes. Otherwise changes to flash designs will likely be denied.

7. Health and Safety:

A. Age Requirement: You must be of legal age 18+ years old to receive a tattoo. Valid identification may be required. Ages 16-17 will require parental and/or legal guardian consent on top of valid identification.

B. Hygiene: We adhere to strict hygiene and sterilization protocols to ensure your safety. Please come clean showered and smelling neutral for our services to go as smoothly as possible. It is crucial you follow our aftercare instructions for proper healing of your tattoo.

C. Skin Preparations: We will clean and shave your skin prior to putting your tattoo design on your skin. You may help by coming pre-shaved if you know the sizing and placement of where your tattoo is going.

D. Mental Health: We refuse to work with clients who demonstrate a lack of proper conduct and healthy conscience. Any physical or verbal harassment will not be tolerated. Clients seeking our services while under the influence of a substance will be asked to come back when they're sober enough to conduct themselves appropriately. Clients seeking our services while under immense personal stress that may affect their mental capacities will be asked to come back when they're calm and collected enough to make a sound decision.

8. Payments:

A. Tattoo Pricing: Tattoo prices vary depending on many variable such as size, complexity, and each artist's rates. Custom designs typically go by artist's hourly rate, while flash designs typically go by a flat rate plus taxes. You will be provided with a price estimate during your consultation.

B. Payment Methods: We accept cash, debit cards, digital e-transfer and credit cards, respectively. E-transfers will have to wait until we have confirmation, unless otherwise noted.

C. Time of Payment: Full payment of the tattoo time taken, or of the flash design is due at the end of your appointment, unless otherwise agreed upon. Failure to pay will result in legal involvement with the police.

9. Liability and Release:

A. Release of Liability: Sting Studio is not liable for any allergies, infections, or adverse reactions resulting from the tattoo process or aftercare. You acknlowedge we have given you proper instructions on how and where to find the right knowledge and tools to ensure a service well done.

B. Client Responsibility: You are responsible for providing accurate medical history information, including any medical conditions or medications that may affect the tattoo process, both mental and physical. Knowing if you have a condition helps us navigate how we'll tackle the job. You are responsible for caring for your tattoo and the final result of its healing.

Your continued use of our website following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the revisions. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using our website.
