These terms apply when you book with Sting Studio, visit the studio, or use https://www.stingstudio.ca. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms. Sting Studio is owned and operated by Derrick, a solo tattoo artist.
Age and ID
You must be 18 or older to get a tattoo or piercing at Sting Studio. Bring valid photo ID. We will not tattoo or pierce anyone under 18.
Bookings and deposits
Appointments are confirmed when a deposit is paid, as directed when you book.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Your deposit always comes off the final price of the work.
- Our studio minimum is $85.
Flash and promotion prices may change. The price that applies is the one confirmed for your appointment.
Rescheduling and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel, please give us notice of at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Late cancellations, no-shows, or repeated reschedules may mean you lose your deposit and may need a new deposit to rebook.
Artist's right to refuse
Derrick may refuse or stop a session for any reason, including health or safety concerns, intoxication, incomplete or inaccurate consent information, design that cannot be done safely or ethically, or behaviour that is disrespectful or unsafe. In those cases, the deposit rules above still apply unless Derrick decides otherwise.
Your responsibility during and after the session
You agree to:
- Give honest answers on the consent form
- Follow aftercare instructions you are given
- Contact the studio if healing looks wrong for you
Healing depends on your body and how well you care for the tattoo. Sting Studio is not responsible for results that come from poor aftercare, ignoring instructions, or picking or damaging the work.
Touch-ups
Touch-up policy is discussed with you for your piece. Timing and whether a touch-up is included depend on the work and how well aftercare was followed. Ask Derrick if you are unsure.
Artwork and copyright
Designs, flash, drawings, and custom artwork created by Sting Studio remain the property of the studio. You own the tattoo on your body. You do not get the right to copy, sell, or commercially reproduce the design without written permission from Sting Studio.
We may photograph healed or fresh work for our portfolio and marketing only if you consent (including on the consent form or later).
Website and content
Content on stingstudio.ca (text, images, designs) is for information and booking. Do not copy it for commercial use without permission. Prices and availability on the site may change without notice until confirmed for your booking.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Ontario and Canadian law, Sting Studio and Derrick are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from bookings, tattoos, piercings, aftercare, or use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for gross negligence or fraud where the law requires).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario, unless the law says otherwise.
